From private to public
I actually started my career way back working in the private sector — we’re talking Hudson Yards skyscraper, subsidized lunches, schmoozy gym passes. But as I was writing executive briefings and speeches on corporations pushing to consider their mark in the world, it didn’t seem anyone was tracking the trumped up statements. And so I took a leap, becoming a journalist at the Financial Times, before moving to Morning Brew and eventually shifting to geopolitics reporting in Istanbul. Journalism quickly became my calling.
How I got here
I’ve always valued frank dialogue and straight forward communication. In other words, I suck at office politics. When I first met John, and discovered Intrigue, it all clicked.
